Today is laundry day. Someday I will have laundry facilities in my own home. Until that day, I get to load up all our laundry, detergent, fabric softener, and any available quarters and head down to the nearest laundromat to do laundry. The joys of apartment life.
Hi Heather! I have made MANY trips to the laundry facilities in my life! A blog friend recently told me about Woolzies (wool dryer balls). She uses them instead of dryer sheets and says they make her laundry dry MUCH quicker. I found a box of 6 and have been using them about 2 mos. now. I agree that they make the clothes dry much quicker. I still do add one dryer sheet to each load though for the extra softness. Hope you have a good evening - once the laundry is done! Mildred
ReplyDeletep.s. I found Woolzies at a store called Marshall's but I have seen them on amazon too. The quicker drying time might save you some $$.
ReplyDeleteThe woolzies sound like a good idea! When you have your own washer and dryer, you probably won't groan when the dryer buzzes like I do - right?
ReplyDeleteHmmm! I'll have to check out those Woolzie thingies. In the long run, it is probably cheaper to go to the Laundry Mat, if you have the back for it. :) When we first moved to Ohio, we used the Laundry Mat for two weeks till we closed on our house. It was fun! We talked to a lot of people and asked them a lot of questions. It gave us something to do, also. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are definitely going to need your own washer and dryer before any kiddos come along. I swear, I'll be taking the clean laundry out of the dryer, and more dirty is being sent down the chute behind me. :) I could just stay in the laundry room all day I think! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know what, Heather? I have the STUPIDEST laundry "room" in the Western Hemisphere. You should see it. Oh wait; it's so small, it's barely visible. If I ever design my own house it will have a laundromat like the one in your photo. That is all. xoxo
