What a weekend.

How is it the middle of January already? People always say that time moves faster the older you get, but I never really believed them until recently.

Due to the snowy, gross conditions, I spend most of last week cooped up in the house. I didn't mind at first, but by Friday I needed to get out. We had gone from groceries Thursday night, but that is a bit of a boring outing.

With the weather improved by Friday, I was going to meet my mom at her place and go do a little shopping. I got all ready to go, and my car wouldn't start. It tried; she gave it a really good effort, but it just wasn't going to happen.

Luckily mom was able to pick me up and we still got out.

Andrew came home from work early and concluded that it was just a dead battery. He jumped it and had it going again in no time.

After working the early shift all weekend and a birthday party Saturday afternoon for one of our nieces, I am in need of a few days off. On second thought, I think I need a vacation in a warmer climate. I'm ready for the snow to be done!

  1. Hi Heather, The cold and snow sound dreadful. I'm glad Andrew could jump your battery. In the U.S. this weekend, I don't think any place was warm. My blog friend in Florida had tornadoes. Glad you and your mom could still get out to shop. Hope you have a good week!

  4. I remember when we lived up north, how hard it became toward the end of January. TG always watches golf on Sunday afternoons and the sighs and sounds of the guys playing in warm and sunny climates with balmy breezes just made me ache for spring. Now I live where if it gets cold, it last for about ten seconds. Haahaha stay warm, Heather. xoxo

  5. Popping in from your mom's blog:) We don't have a lot of snow, but it is cold and windy and just not very pleasant. A good shopping trip is a great remedy!
