Cats and the bathroom

Really, what is it with cats? I am not allowed to go to the bathroom alone. Oliver runs ahead of me so I don't shut him out and then sits there on the rug, waiting for me. I just don't get it. The bathroom isn't usually a wonderful, magical place to be, right? And cats don't generally do things just to be near to you, at least Oliver doesn't. So what is it with the bathroom? Can anyone tell me, because I am honestly curious.

  1. This is so funny to me. All 5 of my cats do the same thing! Magic cat, sits with his two front paws on my knees while I am sitting on the toilet! I have NO idea what the attraction is - they don't do this in any other room! IF I get the chance to close them out, when I re-open the door, they are clustered up against the door! lol

  2. I think he's just preparing you for when you have kids. They do the same thing. Last weekend, Ruby was constantly in the bathroom with me, and sometimes it was both her and Alaina. :)

  3. They say that cats have that toddler mentality. If you're doing anything behind closed doors it means you are having fun without them and they want to be a part of it. :)
