Last Saturday we had my niece Alaina stay the night with us. She had said that she wanted to come and play on the playground (we live a block away from an elementary school). So, after Andrew finished his color run and had a little break, we went and picked her up.
What was her first stop when we got back home?
She had to see Oliver, of course!
After a quick visit, it was off to the playground.
She climbed to the top of this slide multiple times, but never went down.
She was very happy that she beat Uncle Andrew in tic-tac-toe.
After dinner she helped Uncle Andrew make some peanut butter cookies.
It took her a few tries, but she finally got the hang of it!
She found a bag of some of Andrew's toys that he held onto. She thought these animal noses were funny.
We had so much fun with her. She thought that next time we should have both her and her sister Ruby overnight. Are we feeling that adventurous?
Such cute pictures. I love all the noses! I think if you get a really good nights sleep the night before you could handle having Ruby too :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun for Alaina...you are a great Aunt( and Uncle).
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a wonderful time. I remember how Alaina loved Oliver from your mom's blog. Awesome playground so nearby and Andrew's toys seem to really delight Alaina. Those cookies look delicious. By the way, I bought the Furminator last week; thanks so much - the cats and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had such a fun time! I love the nose shots!
ReplyDeleteAlaina and Oliver go way back. :) I am glad that you had a good time with her. I think she liked baking those cookies.
DeleteSo I was thinking, What? No Ruby? Haaahaa now that will be a handful for you and Andrew. Alaina and Oliver together again, that warmed the cockles of my heart. I love the animal noses. xoxo
ReplyDeleteShe had so much fun - she is spoiled! Those cookies definitely got a good flattening, LOL! The noses are hysterical! Thanks again for having her - she loves spending time with you! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! That is so nice to be able to spend time together.....and soon you will be much closer!! So cute seeing her with Oliver - such a love/hate relationship.
