Names

Names are interesting, aren't they? There are so many different names; unique ones, old-fashioned ones, and common ones. Some names seem to be more common than others.

For those that may not know, Andrew and I met online. We were both on a dating site. He found me and sent me a message. Before I found out his name, I only knew his profile username. Then, when I read his message I found out his name was Andrew. I laughed and informed him that I had a brother by the same name.

This is where the similarities start.

His last name, (well, our last name now), is the same as my dad and brother's middle name.
His sister's name is also Heather.
His brother's first name is Robert, which is my dad's name.

We decided that our parents were not very original in their choice of names!

  1. I enjoyed learning more about you and Andrew. So ironic about the names! My family had a couple of Larry's, Peggy's, Carl's and Mildred's. I'm on a short blog break; my husband's diabetes is acting up. I'll still be checking in with you. Be back soon!

    2. Oh, Heather. I am sorry. I did not know about your #1 Diabetes. He was diagnosed about 5 years ago with type 2.
You take extra good care of yourself.

  2. Girl I've got a son and a grandson that share the name Andrew! When your mom and I get to talk (much too infrequently), we have to be careful when using the name Andrew. Clarification may be needed. Haahahaha xoxo

    1. Oh that is funny! I did not know that you met on a dating site. I thought you met at some church related event. I guess I just thought that up. You surely did get a good man!

  6. And then your sister had to go and make things more confusing... :) We liked Ruby from the beginning, and then when Andrew mentioned his niece Ruby we thought, "Oh no..." but we just couldn't find anything else we liked as well! And after all, you guys like all the duplicate names so much. :)
